Rhythmology - Brad Carlton Page Three

We move on to Rock pattern one which will 'hone our skills to a razor edge' building our own power chords and voicings. Sus2, sus4, add9, add4 chords an other hybrid voicings are on the menu too. Brad will teach us what not to play to preserve the rock tonality and groove of the track. Chords B and A. Brad changes from a red to a North Carolina Blue color Stratocaster. In video one we learn some really cool rock rhythmic stuff and even some even cooler in video 2. Must have rhythm guitar material.

Later in the file Rhythomology_PT2 just click on the .exe file to start up the TrueFire player where there is another ten lessons same as before and the same for Folder PT3. PT_3 ads new categories of guitar styles: Twang and Acoustic style guitar. There is a lot to learn here and this is a must have guitar lesson with 6  hours worth of logical rhythm guitar operating manual instructions. You'll be like a moth to a flame. In my opinion this is the best non download product from TrueFire in my big 6 foot high stack of guitar lessons. Here and there Brad says it better we hybrid pick and explains clearly about different approaches to the guitar. Studying using the jam Track and .PDF file will entail sincere effort but be very rewarding and connect several styles! I recommend it even with its faults but I don't own a tablet or a cell phone. Its some thing to think about though? I'll take a big ole flat screen any day for a guitar lesson with guitar in hand. For just reading a review about it a tablet may work fine or the True Fire player may look good in a tablet even.

I just watched raptly, Lesson I & II of Jazz from PT_1. It provides us a nice introduction to 3 and 4 string triad shapes and their inversions. There is a .PDF file(s)  with chord diagrams. Brad shows us that changing just one note can change the chord sonority and that in diatonic harmony many chords share one or two notes. C-Am-F come to mind. So changing the right note can make your guitar playing much more efficient especially if you finger pick.

Brad finger picks or hybrid picks but keeps the picking to essentially the same Spanish fingerstyle mother of all fingerpicking thing which is like a rapid three note arpeggio using your first three fingers. And of course his thumb. This is way cool and going to take watching a few times and naughtily I am off to peek in the next folder PT_2. Here we will build all four inversions of the min7 chord. We 'comp' (play a complimentary rhythm) to a bass and drums track Gm7 Am7. In PT_3 I find two new headings Twang and Acoustic. All this is excellent. Buy this if you want to learn a lot about the guitar and each of these styles. Pretty Amazing! One of the best guitar instructional values reviewed on this site. Buy this! But recall the screen size issue. Brad has more lessons too.
