So I can say with quite a bit of certainty that this guitar lesson level is for people who are Eddie Murphy deep, deep, deep in to their music theory and metronome practice.
There is a 25 page .PDF pamphlet which makes me shudder just looking at it. I can tell its bare bones. Still, less is more sometimes. At least there is a pamphlet.
Carl shows us some blues to prove he can and then some reggae too and Carl lets it rip and sounds really good.
Next he plays another song but with his group which is reminiscent of smooth jazz fusion Kenny G style which sounds like a lot of such bands of yore. On stage Carl uses one of those humongous Line 6 POD pedal boards like a cows udder.
This isn't giving me the tools I need and is beyond me. Lots of string skipping, a couple of exercises but the front end got left off.
The cover doesn't tell you that you are going to get thrown into the deep end of the pool. I don't really want to sound like this style anyway. I am not saying it not educational only that its advanced.
Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.
